SPECIAL NOTES  and APPRECIATION  ♫

You are the teacher that had the most impact on me and encouraged me with my singing!  I will never forget auditioning for Hello Dolly with Di ..... we hit the high notes but without your training I wouldn’t have had the confidence.

Annie …former student and member of the St Catherine’s School Council.

Dear Mrs L

Thank you so much for being the most wonderful piano teacher to me for many years. I’ve always believed that piano will bring out more than just musical skills, but also creativity, love and passion. Piano is a form of communication and expression; no words can describe the feeling of a first piece or an accomplishment of one. Over the years you have taught me many things and given me the ability to read, write and play music.  You have also taught me many life skills …..and I will go on using what I have learnt to help me in life.                 Amelia

  • Be thorough, be diligent, be hard working ….but above all …. Have fun!

  • You don’t know what you don’t know!

I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for helping her all the time. Actually what she learns from you is much more than music only. I like the way you teach her!     Jane: mother of piano student

Helen Lovass, as Director of Music has brought an amazing breadth of ability developing every aspect of music education …the Music School has become the centre of education not only in music but in much else: discipline, dedication, good manners and a sense of style   ….through her teaching she has inspired literally hundreds of girls ….her self discipline and striving for excellence ….have made her an outstanding example to all her students.

Just a quick note to say hi, and to let you know that the journey of enjoying choral music continues in my life.

What a privilege I had to be in the choir backing Andrea Bocelli at his concert in Abu Dhabi last weekend ( April 2019 )   ..... I was also fortunate to be selected recently to sing in the BBC Proms together with the BBC Singers......Thanks to you for encouraging my love of music, and especially choral participation. All these years later and I still really appreciate it.        Ali .... former student

Thank you for the amazing year ….. you have taught me to cope with my stress and this will definitely help me in the future. Thank you for teaching me the beauty and expression that lies behind the notes and making me realize what happiness music can bring to the mind and soul.

Thank you so much  ….

Love Sarah
